Loughborough Community Hospital future confirmed

Dr Dan Poulter MP, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Health along with Nicky Morgan, MP for Loughborough recently visited the Urgent Care Centre at Loughborough Community Hospital.  Dr Poulter came to see the Urgent Care Centre first-hand as it is one of a small number nationally that operates within a community hospital base. He also visited the Dishley Grange GP practice.

Launch of Loughborough Roundtable’s new sleigh

Loughborough’s MP Nicky Morgan and Charnwood Mayor Cllr Diane Wise helped to launch Loughborough Roundtable’s new sleigh last Sunday. The sleigh has been and will continue this week to make its way round the local area collecting money for Rainbows and other local charities.

MP urges Loughborough Equitable pensioners to apply for their compensation

Loughborough MP Nicky Morgan is calling on any constituents who had pensions with Equitable Life, to make sure they get the compensation promised to them by the government before it is too late. “Although 450,000 people have now received a compensation cheque, about 20% remain untraced” said Nicky, “and if people don’t get their claim in they will miss out”.

Loughborough teen takes over as MP!

Later this month, Charnwood teenager William Hebblethwaite will become a Member of Parliament for the day, when he joins local MP Nicky Morgan for a day in Loughborough.  The activities are part of the Children’s Commissioner’s Takeover Day 2013, a nationwide scheme that brings young people into leadership roles.

Nicky Morgan, MP for Loughborough, joined in on a recent Leadership in Running Fitness Course, as she shared her passion for recreational running and emphasised the importance of programmes such as the Beginners Running Project, in building sport into people’s daily lives.Nicky Morgan MP got in on the action at a course for new Run Leaders on Saturday 2ndNovember, at SportPark, Loughborough University. The England Athletics Leadership in Running Fitness course was attended by 20 volunteers who are all hoping to encourage more people into running as part of the Run England programme.
