Loughborough Wellbeing Centre are a charitable organisation established to provide help and support to local adults living with mental health challenges. Since being formed in 2014 the project has helped more than 100 people through times of personal crisis; in finding work and signposting to life changing services.
The organisation's Wellbeing Cafe project has now been shortlisted to receive funding through the National Lottery's 'People's Project' scheme, in their Central East category.
Five great projects are in the running for funding of up to £50,000 each but the three groups who eventually receive funding will be up to you, the residents of our region.
Bidding for £49,050 the Loughborough Wellbeing Cafe would put the money to good use by expanding the project throughout Leicestershire and Rutland where demand has already proven high, as well as developing services for target groups right here in Loughborough.
