Loughborough MP Nicky Morgan is inviting local businesses and other parties to a debate on the future of the High Street.
The special breakfast debate will be held on 14th November at Browns Lane Restaurant in Loughborough.
With more and more people turning to the internet to do their shopping, Nicky wants to gauge local views on the future of our high streets – what more could Government and local communities be doing? Are some businesses more suited to online retail while others will thrive in the 21st century High Street?
Nicky will be joined by representatives from the Loughborough BID team and an online retailer. It promises to be a lively debate.
“Thankfully Loughborough has fewer empty shop units on average than other similar sized towns, but I want to know if we could we be doing more.
“I want to hear from local businesses and anyone else who has a view – I believe there is a future for the High Street – but I want to know what that future will be!”
The breakfast is kindly sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses.
The event will start at 8.30am and end no later than 10am. A continental breakfast buffet will be served.
Tickets cost £10. Please book online at: www.breakfastwithnickymorganmp.eventbrite.com
